Kathmandu. A shocking incident has come to light in southern China’s Fujian province. In a shocking incident, a father drove his 7-year-old son into a road accident to get insurance money.
The incident took place in 2020 in the city of Sanming in Fujian province and has only recently come to light. Zhang, who frequently quarrels with his wife over financial disputes and alleged infidelity, plans to kill his son and raise insurance money, according to reports.
Zhang implicated his uncle, the truck driver, in the scheme. He already had two insurance policies for trucks. In October 2020, Zhang asked his son to get out of the car and the truck driver intentionally hit him. The child died on the spot.
When police arrived, Zhang pretended to mourn the dead child and claimed the incident as an accident. The uncle also made false pretenses that he was busy with his mobile phone and hid his family ties.
A few months later, Zhang submitted a claim of 180,000 yuan (about $25,000) for insurance. He promised his uncle 30,000 yuan. The truth came out when it was discovered that Kaka had falsified his road traffic qualifications. As a result, he became an unauthorized driver. The insurance company later rejected the claim and imposed financial liability on Luo, the owner of the truck.
Luo suspected that he contacted the police and reported that another acquaintance knew about Zhang’s plan but did not participate. Both Zhang and his uncle were arrested during the investigation. Both were sentenced to death by the court.
