Kathmandu. Smart Choice Technologies, a licensed organization of payment system operators by Nepal Rastra Bank, has successfully launched 3DS access control server service.
Access is an important part of the global 3D Secure Protocol, which facilitates cardholders to process their authentication when transacting online and ensures a high level of protection against fraud.
Global IME Bank has become the first bank in Nepal to join SCT’s 3DS access service. At the same time, NMB Bank has also provided this service. Which has further expanded the reach of this service.
Through these collaborations, cardholders of Global IME Bank and NMB Bank will now get more secure and easy authentication while transacting online.
Access service launched by SCT has been established as a new advancement in the digital payment sector in Nepal. This will help in real-time authentication and fraud prevention while transacting online, making online shopping, ticketing, and other payment experiences more secure and reliable.
It will not only increase customer confidence in digital channels but also support the journey towards a cashless economy, bringing Nepal closer to the safety standards of international payment service providers.
