Kathmandu. Micro non-life insurers have brought in more than Rs 950 million in the last fiscal year.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) for the last fiscal year 2019/20, four micro-life insurance companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 953.8 million by selling 379,438 insurance policies.
In the last fiscal year, Nepal Micro Insurance has brought the highest number of business. The company has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 262.8 million by selling 101,744 policies.
Protective Micro Insurance is the second largest producer of business. The company has sold 99,135 policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 249.3 million.
In the last fiscal year, Star Micro Insurance earned Rs 227.4 million by selling 102,496 policies and Trust Micro Insurance earned Rs 214.2 million by selling 76,063 policies.
