Kathmandu. Micro non-life insurance companies have done business worth about Rs 580 million in the first 8 months of the current fiscal year up to Falgun.
The 4 micro non-life insurance companies currently in operation have issued 230,070 policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 579.6 million.
Nepal Micro Insurance is the company that has generated the most business. This company has issued 65,837 policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 166.4 million.
The second is Protective Micro Insurance. As of Falgun, this company has issued 55,623 insurance policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 146.3 million.
Similarly, Star Micro Insurance has issued 61,094 insurance policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 135.1 million, and Trust Micro Insurance has issued 47,453 insurance policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 131.6 million.
