Kathmandu. Three micro-life insurers have invested more than Rs 2.16 billion in various sectors. This has been seen in the financial statements of the third quarter of the current financial year released by the Nepal Insurance Authority. According to the data, Crest Micro Life, Guardian Micro Life and Liberty Micro Life have invested Rs 2.16 billion till the third quarter of the current fiscal year.
Guardian Micro Life is the biggest investor. The company has invested Rs 880 million. The second is Crest Micro Life. The company has invested Rs 750 million. Liberty Micro Life also has an investment of Rs 529.6 million.
Micro insurers seem to have invested the most in fixed deposits of banks. These three micro-life insurers have kept Rs 1.89 billion in A category banks and Rs 70.5 million in B category banks. Guardian Micro Life has invested Rs 20 lakh in fixed deposits of grade C banks and financial institutions.
Similarly, Liberty Micro Life has invested Rs 239.7 million in ordinary shares of listed public companies, while Liberty Micro Life has invested Rs 9.9 million in preference shares, bonds, debentures and debentures of banks and financial institutions. He has invested Rs 10 million in citizen investment funds and mutual funds.
