Siddhartha Premier active in all seven provinces to claim compensation for protests

Kathmandu. Nirjivan Siddhartha Premier Insurance has mobilized its employees in all seven provinces to expedite the assessment of damages caused by rioting, vandalism and arson during the agitation.

Issuing a press release on Saturday, the insurance company said that some claims have been paid after assessing the damage to the insured property during the demonstration on September 23 and 24.

The riots, vandalism and arson that took place in different parts of the country during the agitation have caused extensive damage to the nation’s infrastructures, industries, trade and personal property. According to the preliminary assessment, a significant number of insurance claims are being registered with insurance companies in Nepal due to loss of billions of rupees.

The company has requested the insured to contact the claims department at the central office and the head of the provincial office at the provincial level to make the claim faster and easier.

In order to provide relief to the aggrieved insured, Siddhartha Premier has assured that the claim payment will be expedited and transparent.

After the arson and riot on September 24, during the curfew on September 25, a team of senior officials and surveyors of the company inspected the damaged property and also conducted a preliminary survey of the damaged property.

The company has also requested the insured to inform the company’s branches, provinces and head offices across the country as soon as possible if they have not yet been informed about the property damaged during the agitation. The company has requested the insured to provide the necessary documents to the concerned surveyor or company for the settlement of the claim as soon as possible and help in the assessment of the damage.
