Kathmandu. The popularity of volleyball, the national sport of Nepal, is increasing rapidly. Shivam Cement Limited is going to collaborate as a “Strength Partner” in the 9th PM CUP -NVA WOMEN/MEN’S VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE-2082 to be organized by Nepal Volleyball Association in Pokhara from May 11 to 25 with the aim of taking Nepali volleyball to a new height in view of the growing interest of sports lovers in recent times.
Shivam Cement is collaborating in this tournament in line with the long-term objective of promoting and supporting the national game. General Secretary of Nepal Volleyball Association Roshan Shrestha and V.P. Shrestha of Sales and Marketing on behalf of Shivam Cement were present on the occasion. Nikhil Agarwal signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Shivam Cement Limited has been collaborating in various games to promote volleyball as the national game of Nepal. Sher Bahadur Memorial Foundation has also been sponsoring and collaborating in various national and local level sports programs including women’s volleyball cup sponsorship, team sponsorship of New Diamond Academy, Karnali Yashvis team sponsorship under Everest Volleyball League.
9th PM CUP – NVA WOMEN ‘S/MEN’S VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE – 2082 will be held from May 28 to May 15 at the covered hall of Pokhara Stadium, where around 3,000 to 4,000 spectators will attend each match, according to The Nepal Volleyball Association. A total of 14 teams will participate in the tournament, out of which 6 women’s teams and 8 men’s teams will compete.
Shivam Cement has been continuously supporting the overall development of Nepali sports. Shivam Cement, which has been continuously participating in popular sports events like volleyball, cricket, football, marathon for the past few years, has pledged to continue to cooperate in such activities in the coming days.
