Kathmandu. Surveyor seminar organized by Shikhar Insurance has been completed. With the objective of facilitating the important role of surveyors in settling claims by making the insurance claim process simple, fast and efficient, the fourth surveyor seminar program on the topic of “Capacity Enhancement for Professional Excellence in Claim Management” organized by Shikhar Insurance Company has been completed.
Five working papers were presented in the program. In which, on behalf of the company, Shikhar Insurance General Manager Udit Prasad Kafle, on behalf of the surveyor regarding the flood claim in 2081, Nepal Insurance Surveyor General Secretary Bikash Maharjan, on behalf of the surveyor regarding the electric vehicle claim, on behalf of the reinsurance regarding the environmental risk, Himalayan Reinsurance Executive Director Sisir Gaire, and on behalf of the Nepal Insurance Authority, Director Shambaraj Lamichhane presented a working paper on the role of the surveyor in claim settlement. The presented working papers were also discussed.
190 people, including 110 surveyors, experts in various fields, and company employees, participated in the program held at a hotel in Kathmandu. The program ran from 9 am to 5 pm. The closing ceremony of the program was presided over by Gaurav Agrawal, Chairman of Shikhar Insurance Company, while the chief guest of the program was Sharad Ojha, Chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority. The distinguished guest was Prof. Dr. Fatt Bahadur KC, former Chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority. The guest was Birendra Baidawar Shretri, Chairman of Nepal Insurance Association.
The closing ceremony was attended by the company’s financial statements. Four surveyors, including Sher Bahadur Buda, Lochan Kendra Devkota, Rabin Sharma and Amir Khanal, who provided excellent service for the survey work in the claims filed in 2080.081, were also honored.
At the ceremony, NEA Chairman Sharad Ojha praised the surveyors for organizing the program, saying that such honors have motivated them to complete the work within the time limit.
