Kathmandu. Navin Sherchan, Chief Agency Manager of Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Limited, has managed to collect the first insurance premium of Rs 59.6 million in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Sherchan managed to collect the insurance fee from himself and his team.
Sherchan, who has been moving ahead in the business of insurance agent since 2075 BS, has been aggressively engaged in the insurance business from the initial stage. Sherchan, who has been qualified every year at the Millennium Round Table (MDRT), an organization of international financial consultants, has been able to become MDRT for the sixth time in a row by becoming MDRT for 2025 and has been able to identify as a successful and established agent.
Sherchan, who had set a target of becoming mdrt and becoming the world’s only global organization million dollar round table for 10 consecutive years( MDRT), started mdrt qualifying from the then Prabhu Life Insurance Limited in 2020 from the year he joined the company.
Born in Bongadobhan of Baglung, he is also an elected people’s representative in addition to an insurance agent. Sherchan, who has been spreading financial literacy of savings and security through insurance agents among the public, is directly and indirectly involved in social service.
He is also the priest of thakali community, elected representative of Dhorpatan municipality and former president of Lions Club of Kathmandu Myagdi. He said that people who believe in constant hard work, diligence and patience should always keep their goals and destinations in mind in order to be successful. There is an economic slowdown in the country. Sherchan says he is trying to send a message of “we can do something in our own country” even when thousands of young people who feel disharmony by saying that “nothing can happen in this country” are leaving their homeland and are foreigners.
