Kathmandu. A seminar on risk management and contemporary issues in insurance organized by Nepal Insurance Professional Society (NIPS) and in collaboration with Nepal Insurance and Risk Management Association (NIRMA) has been concluded in Dhangadhi.
The chief guest of the seminar, Far West Province Minister of State for Economic Affairs Prakash Bam, said that since insurance is a friend of those in need, everyone should have access to insurance.
“Insurance is a friend of those in need. But due to problems within insurance and lack of information about insurance, not all citizens have been able to join insurance,” said Minister of State for Economic Affairs Bam. “The provincial government is ready to cooperate and support to create awareness about insurance and ensure everyone has access to insurance. ”
The special guests at the program, Nepal Insurance Authority Far West Province Chief Hridayashwar Pandit and Nepal Reinsurance Chief Executive Officer Surendra Thapa, discussed the importance of insurance.
Sunil Shrestha, President of Nepal Insurance Professionals Society Kailali, highlighted the relevance of the seminar along with his welcome speech.
Similarly, the program, chaired by NIRMA President Prof. Dr. Rabindra Ghimire, was conducted by NIPS Kailali Secretary Nar Bahadur Negi. One hundred and twenty employees from life and non-life insurance and micro insurance companies participated in the seminar.
