Sarbottam Cement convenes AGM, how long will the shareholders get 20% dividend?

Kathmandu. Sarbottam Cement has called its seventh annual general meeting.

The meeting of the Board of Directors of the company has decided to hold the AGM on December 26. The meeting will begin at 10:00 am at Hotel Siddhartha Villasa in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi.

The Fiscal Year 2081. The board of directors will approve the proposal of distributing dividend of Rs 995.1 million to the shareholders out of the current paid-up capital of Rs 4.97 billion. Out of this, 5 percent will be given bonus shares worth Rs 248.77 million and 15 percent cash dividend of Rs 74.63 crore.

The meeting will pass a special resolution authorizing the Board of Directors to amend the memorandum of association accordingly as the paid-up capital will increase after the distribution of bonus shares and authorize the Board of Directors to make any changes or additions if directed by the concerned body in the process.

The same meeting will approve the annual report and the auditor’s report of the previous fiscal year. The meeting will also endorse the proposal regarding the appointment of the auditor and determination of his/her remuneration for the current fiscal year.

The company has decided to close the book on November 26 for the purpose of meeting and dividend. This means that only the shareholders who have remained in the company before November 25 will be eligible to receive the dividend and participate in the meeting.
