Kathmandu. Sanima Reliance Life Insurance has won the title of the third edition of “Sea Strikes Corporate Women’s Cricket”. The company defeated Surya Nepal by 28 runs in the final played on Saturday.
Batting first at a resort in Mulkot, Sanima Reliance scored 60 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated five overs. In reply, Surya Nepal could score only 32 runs for the loss of one wicket in five overs.
Captain Swastika Karki’s contribution to sanima Reliance winning the corporate women’s cricket title for the second time in a row was very important. Karki, who was adjudged player of the match in the final match against Surya Nepal, also received the player of the tournament award.
Karki won the Player of the Match award three times throughout the tournament. Similarly, Raksha Rana of Sanima Reliance also won the player of the match award in a match.
Swastika Karki became the captain of Sanima Reliance, who hit the most sixes in the tournament.
The tournament was organized by N Events and was held from April 12 to 23. A total of nine teams participated in the tournament and five overs were played per innings.
