Meanwhile, the investigating police find evidence. Through this evidence, the police interrogate some people in the house where the theft took place and eventually the case is solved. The woman living in this house was behind the theft of crores of rupees, who called the police and informed them. She hatched the entire conspiracy with her thief lover.

Emma Ossia, 46, was comfortably living in her luxurious home in Pottresmouth. Her boyfriend Dean Ryan also lived in the house. Ryan was five years younger than Osia. Ryan was stealing, while Ossia was a businessman. Both of them had been living together since 2021. Emma’s daughter lived in the same house. Emma had insured her house for more than 165 million rupees (9 00,000 pounds).

One day Emma hatched a conspiracy to kill insurance money from the company. She told her boyfriend Ryan that she planned to steal from her own house. After the theft, both agreed to share the money received from the insurance company.

Ryan also included two of his friends in this theft drama. As planned, Emma left the window of her house open at night. Through which the thieves entered.

Thieves stole jewellery, designer handbags and cash worth rs 65 million (£3.5 lakh) from the house. The next day, Emma told her boyfriend that the insurance company would pay only if she felt forced into the house. For this, they broke the window of their house so that the insurance company could be shown as evidence.

However, while Emma was telling her boyfriend about breaking the window, her servant was also nearby. He listened to all their conversations.

When everything went according to plan, Emma called the police and lodged a complaint of theft. While the police were investigating the matter, they came to know that the stolen house had been insured for Rs 16.5 crore.

The police got suspicious and started questioning the house servants secretly. Finally, the servant who heard the conversation between Emma and her boyfriend told the police the whole truth. Police then arrested Emma and boyfriend Ryan as soon as they found evidence.

On August 7, 2023, the police charged the duo with insurance fraud, obstruction of justice and attempt to intimidate witnesses. On May 26, 2025, the court sentenced Emma to two-and-a-half years in prison and Ryan to four years in prison for being a selfish woman. – Agency
