Kathmandu. The Butwal bench of the Tulsipur High Court has ordered the release of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane on bail in the case of cheating the cooperatives.
A division bench of Justices Basudev Acharya and Tej Narayan Poudel issued the order on Thursday. For this, the bench has put forward some conditions.
A joint bench of Acharya and Poudel has ordered the District Court Rupandehi to accept the bail amount demanded by the Rupandehi District Court on January 28, 2081 to release Lamichhane on bail. The court also ordered the government to secure the bank guarantee amount of Rs 2,74,84,000 submitted by Lamichhane.
The court has also been asked to inform the court if Lamichhane has to travel personally or institutionally. The bench also annulled the order of the Rupandehi District Court dated August 11, 2002. If the final verdict creates additional liability in the case of Bigo, the court has ordered the release of the detainee with the documents agreed to be paid.
A division bench of Justices Acharya and Poudel also quashed the district court’s order in the case of Chhabilal Joshi, who has been imprisoned on the charge of cooperative fraud and organized crime. “It is seen that the application filed by him and during the arguments before this bench today itself, the lawyer had requested me with a photocopy of the bail for the loss of bail in my case,” the order reads.
According to the order, Joshi will also be released from jail if he furnishes bail equal to his demands.
