Kathmandu. Rasuwa: The Nepal Insurance Authority (INSURANCE) has made public the updated details of the insurance claims for the damage caused by the massive floods and landslides in Rasuwa on July 15.
According to the NRA, according to the details received from 11 non-life insurers till August 15, compensation of Rs 985.9 million has been sought out of a total of 78 insurance claims.
According to the data, Himalayan Everest Insurance has the highest claim of Rs 550 million. These are two insurance claims.
Similarly, Shikhar Insurance has demanded compensation of Rs 169.6 million for 15 claims. Nepal Insurance has to pay Rs 87.3 million, Sanima GIC Insurance Rs 68.4 million, Neco Insurance Rs 56.7 million, Sagarmatha Lumbini Rs 26.5 million and United Ajod Insurance Rs 9.1 million.
Similarly, IGI Prudential Insurance has to pay Rs 7.67 million, NLG Insurance Rs 4.7 million, Siddhartha Premier Insurance Rs 3.1 million and Prabhu Insurance Rs 2.8 million.
So far, most of the claims have been made towards property insurance. In the property insurance, the insurers have to pay a compensation of Rs 614.7 million for six claims.
Similarly, rs 220.4 million has been claimed for marine insurance, Rs 59.5 million for engineering and contractor risk, Rs 55.8 million for motor insurance (private) and Rs 35.5 million for motor insurance (public).
