Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has won the title of the badminton tournament organized jointly by nepal rastra bank employees association, nepal financial institution employees association and nepal national employees association at the covered hall of Shaheed Stadium in Biratnagar.
Nepal Rastra Bank’s Ragendra Samba and Sujan Kumar Bishwakarma defeated Sonam Lama and Bhesh Raj Bhujel of Prime Commercial Bank Limited 21-18, 24-22 to win the title.
Nepal Bank Limited and Rastriya Banijya Bank secured the third position in the competition.
A total of 31 teams from 21 banks and financial institutions participated in the tournament sponsored by Everest Bank Limited, sponsored by Nabil Bank, Himalayan Bank and Krishi Bikas Bank and co-sponsored by Prabhu Bank. The first, second and third placed teams received Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively along with certificates, medals and trophies.
Nepal Rastra Bank Director Shailendra Regmi, Everest Bank Biratnagar Branch Chief Binay Ghimire and Referee Luv Bhakta Shrestha handed over the prizes to the winners.
