Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said the role of private sector was significant for economic stability and prosperity of the country. The incumbent government is committed to boosting the morale of the private sector and creating an environment conducive for industrial development.
Speaking at the ‘National Economic Debate 2.0’ organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) here today, Prime Minister Karki said that the Genji Movement that emerged across the country on September 9 had strongly raised the demand for transparency, accountability and system reform.
“Your troubles are ours. Industrialists don’t just pay taxes to the state. “They have also fulfilled a huge responsibility of the state by ensuring employment and social security to a large population,” he said. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the state to protect this area. ”
On the occasion, President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, urged the government to pass a proposal of public importance to inform the general public as it was necessary to ensure that there would be no attack on the private sector.
