Prime Minister’s resignation has been accepted, appeals to all to exercise restraint

Kathmandu. The security agencies including the Chief Secretary have appealed to all to exercise restraint as the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has already been accepted.

Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel, Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi, Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Raju Aryal, Inspector General of Nepal Police Chandra Kuber Khapung and Chief Investigation Officer of the National Investigation Commission Hutraj Thapa jointly appealed to the government. “As the resignation of the Prime Minister has been accepted, we urge the general public to exercise restraint to prevent further loss of life and property in this adverse situation,” reads the appeal.

We appeal to all concerned to find a peaceful solution to this issue as soon as possible through political dialogue. “We have suffered huge loss of life and property in course of the demonstrations that have taken place in different parts of the country including Kathmandu since yesterday,” reads the appeal. ’
