Kathmandu. Gharpajhong Rural Municipality, Mustang Prabhu Bank Gandaki Province has organized a financial literacy program in Gharpajhong Rural Municipality, Mustang today, Chaitra 20th. The main objective of this program is to spread digital financial knowledge, create awareness about ways to avoid digital fraud, and develop the concept of saving, budgeting, and investment among the public.
The program was attended by Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari, Local Government Chairperson, Nepal Rastra Bank Executive Director Gunakar Bhatta, Director Mukti Sapkota, Nepal Rastra Bank Pokhara Provincial Office Chief Deepak Raj Lamichhane, Prabhu Bank Gandaki Province Chief Raju Rana Magar, Prabhu Bank officials, other dignitaries, and more than 120 local residents.
Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari, while addressing the program, informed about the importance of using digital banking and online financial services and ways to avoid the risks associated with them. He said, while using digital technology, we need to be aware of its potential risks and fraud incidents. We need to make safe and prudent decisions in digital financial services.
Gunakar Bhatta, Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, also had a comprehensive discussion with the local residents on the concepts of savings, budgeting and investment. In the program, Raju Rana Magar, Gandaki Province Head of Prabhu Bank, gave detailed information about the use of digital financial tools, mobile banking, opening online savings accounts and financial security methods.
Welcoming the program, Mohan Singh Lalchan, Chairman of Gharpajhong Rural Municipality, said, “This program is very important to make the citizens of our rural municipality aware and capable of digital financial services. This will help everyone move forward in financial literacy.
The local community welcomed this initiative of Prabhu Bank, expressed great appreciation during the program, and expressed hope to participate in such programs in the future.
Prabhu Bank Gandaki Pradesh organized this program to show its commitment to increasing financial literacy in the local community and making them aware and safe in digital financial services.
