Kathmandu. Parbati Karki has won a bumper cash prize of Rs 10 million under Ncell’s ‘Always on Crorepati’ scheme. Parbati Karki of Bangepipal, Basera, Gangajamuna Rural Municipality-6, Dhading, who believes in the idea that one day we should continue to work, one day it will get results, said happily, “Now our day has really come”
Karki won the cash under Ncell’s ‘Always on Crorepati’ scheme, which was operated from June 1to July 30. She has struggled a lot in life and lost a lot. She bought ncell’s SIM about eight years ago and automatically participated in the scheme by purchasing a ‘basic renewal’ pack of Rs 99 in the third week of June.
In 2072 BS, she lost her youngest son of one month and two days while sleeping in Dhansar. The earthquake also destroyed the house on the verge of worshiping the house after completing the construction along with the son. After that, she took a loan and sent her husband to foreign employment. Karki is also a woman health volunteer who cultivates in the village. Her husband is currently in Bahrain and her son is studying plus two in Kathmandu.
Ncell Chief Financial Officer Inamul Kabir handed over Rs 10 million to Karki at a function held at the Central Office of Ennel. Receiving the bumper prize, Karki said she had received a gift she had never imagined in her life. “I have suffered a lot in my life, but I have been working without giving up and taking my family forward, i feel that this award has been received as a result of my thinking and my struggle, for which I specially thank the Ncell family,” she said. She also did business in Kathmandu for some time after her husband did not go abroad. But karki sent her husband back abroad after losing millions of rupees in a few months.
“My husband is still going abroad and there are other loans left and my husband’s health is not good. Now the sick body does not have to be crushed to repay the loan, the husband and wife are thinking of doing some enterprise together in Nepal. You invest in your son’s education,” she said.
Karki has won a bumper cash prize while 50 other lucky customers have won a cash prize of Rs 100,000 each as weekly prize. Ncell had discontinued the scheme, which was launched for 12 weeks as per the directives of The Nepal Telecommunication Authority( NTA), in the middle of the fifth week.
Inamul Kabir, Chief Financial Officer of Ncell, said, “We are delighted to fulfill our commitment by presenting this bumper award as part of the Always On Millionaire campaign. “On behalf of the entire Ncell family, I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to Parbati Karki. His story is a story of hope. It also reflects our unwavering commitment to our Word. We are delighted to be part of his journey. I am sure that he will use this prize money to fulfill his dream of starting his own business. We are planning to go to Dhading after her husband returns. ”
