Kathmandu. Nepal Medical College (NMC) has welcomed and oriented the students enrolled for post-graduate (PG) studies. Students enrolled for MD, MS, MDS and MSc nursing studies were welcomed and given educational orientation at a program held at the college on Wednesday.

Inaugurating the program, College Chairman Prof. Dr. Zainuddin Ansari advised the admitted students to study diligently and diligently. Stating that nepal’s medical education has become quality and competitive in recent times, he said that the students should work harder at the post-graduate level. Stating that the situation where he studied 50 years ago and the present situation has improved and changed a lot, Prof. Dr. Ansari recalled that the number of students studying post-graduate studies would also be less at that time.

“In our time, we had to go to India to do my post-graduation. There were hardly 10 or 15 people. In that too, there were no women in surgery and anesthesia, many female students fainted in fear as soon as they saw blood. However, the number of female students taking medical education has been increasing in Nepal since the last one decade, he said, adding, “Now women students are increasing to study surgery and anaesthesia. This is something to be proud of. Many women would not have been able to become doctors without the environment to pursue medical education in Nepal. ” he said.

Prof. Dr. Ansari said that the hard work and perseverance of PG students for three years will determine their future. “Over the next three years, your studies and attitude towards patients will determine what your future will be like. Therefore, be serious about your profession, work hard, be responsible towards the patients. Nepal Medical College is always ready to provide positive support in your studies and teaching. Discipline and hard work are the most important things to study medical education,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of the college Dr. Sabiha Yasmin said that the human resources working in the health service should work by giving priority to humanity. “You have to think that the patient is my book, humanity should never be forgotten, then not every patient has the same symptoms, not everyone has the same times, but everyone should be diagnosed. He urged the government to move ahead without any negligence and negligence in the treatment of patients as the issues of health services in Nepal are becoming more stringent in recent times and some cases are reaching the court.
