Kathmandu. The office-bearers of the Nepal-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NSCCI) met Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Nepal, Ruwanthi Dalpitia, at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar on Monday. Honorable member of Nepal Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NSCCI), Dr. Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, President Bijay Shrestha, General Secretary Narendra Ballav Pant and member Kumar Dahal were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, Ambassador Dalpitia said that business activities between the two countries will increase in the coming days. Discussions were held on the participation of Nepal’s delegation in the Industrial Expo to be held in Sri Lanka in June 2026.
President of Nepal Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bijaya Shrestha said that a similar expo would be organized in Nepal in the coming days and representatives from Sri Lanka would be participating.
During the meeting, matters of trade, investment and joint ventures between Nepal and Sri Lanka were discussed. The visit is expected to enhance local and national economic activity and exchange exchanges on markets, economic development initiatives, foreign trade and investment policies related to the two countries.
Trade, investment, services, trade relations, visits and exchange of business groups were further discussed during the meeting. The upcoming general meeting of the Nepal-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NSCCI) will have Sri Lankan Ambassador Dalpitiya as the chief guest.
