Kathmandu. Now, civil servants will have to submit property details before receiving the appointment letter.

Issuing a circular in the name of all rural municipalities and municipalities as well as the National Library, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed to implement the provision of mandatory submission of property details by civil servants before receiving the appointment letter. The Ministry has issued a circular to implement such a provision based on a letter sent by the Office of the Council of Ministers following a letter from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority( CIAA).

The Ministry has directed to make arrangements to issue appointment letters only after filling the property detail form to the public servants who will be appointed at the beginning. The ministry has also directed the federal, provincial and local levels to conduct adequate awareness programmes regarding the responsibility of submitting property details.

Similarly, the National Library (civil, teachers and police), the office of the chief minister and council of ministers of the state and the local level should properly manage and protect the detained envelopes of the details.

The Ministry has also directed the National Library to take necessary initiatives to make arrangements for receiving property details forms through online technology.

Similarly, the Ministry has made provision that the local levels should give priority to the entry of data related to property details in the online software.
