Kathmandu. The general public will not be able to exchange new banknotes this year. According to The Nepal Rastra Bank( NRB), the general public will be able to exchange dry notes on the occasion of Dusshera this year.
Issuing a notice, the Rastra Bank has made a provision to exchange sukila for Dussehra from September 29 to September 15. Dried notes can be exchanged from the office of the Currency Management Department of the Rastra Bank at Thapathali as well as the provincial offices in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Siddharthanagar, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi.
Similarly, according to the Department, the general public as well as organizations will be able to exchange dry notes during banking transactions from the branch offices of banks and financial institutions.
