Non-life insurers’ profits fell by 28 percent, how much did others earn when seven companies grew?

Kathmandu. Non-life insurance companies have published financial statements for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2081/82. According to the financial statements published by the companies, the profit of the insurers has decreased by 28 percent compared to the previous year. In the review year, the non-life insurance companies earned a net profit of Rs 4.16 billion. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 5.85 billion in the year-ago period.

Siddhartha Premier Insurance Company is the most profitable company in this review year. The company has earned a profit of Rs 713.1 million in the same period. The company’s profit is 3.63 percent higher than the previous year.

Himalayan Everest Insurance has earned a profit of Rs 532.3 million in the review period last year. The company’s profit is 5.95 percent higher than the previous year. Shikhar Insurance has earned a profit of Rs 452.7 million in the same period. The company’s profit is 1.66 percent higher than the previous year.

Sanima GIC Insurance has earned a profit of Rs 350 million in the same period. The company’s profit is 10.13 percent higher than the previous year. Nepal Insurance has earned a profit of Rs 316.4 million. The company’s profit is 4.18 percent higher than the previous year.

During this period of the review year, National Insurance has been in curring losses. According to the financial statements published by the company, there is a loss of Rs 623.9 million. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 266.7 million in the year-ago period.

6 Company profits fell

Neco Insurance’s profit in this review year has decreased compared to the same period last year. In the review year, the company has earned a profit of Rs 550 million. The company’s profit decreased by 6.72 percent compared to the previous year.

The national insurance company has earned a profit of Rs 427.6 million in the review year compared to Rs 627.3 million in the same period of the previous year. Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance’s profit has also decreased. Compared to the same period last year, the company’s profit has decreased by 12 percent.

On the other hand, IGI Prudential Insurance has earned a profit of Rs 364.9 million in the review year. The profit has decreased by 27 percent compared to the previous year. United Ajod Insurance’s profit has decreased by 12 percent compared to the previous year. Oriental Insurance’s profit fell 86 percent compared to the previous year.
