Until Magh 23, the authority has not made any updates after making the details of flood and landslide insurance claims and payments received from the insurers public. Till then, 3,720 claims had been filed in 18 companies, including 14 non-life insurance and 4 non-life micro insurance. The companies were required to pay Rs 12.78 billion 24 million for those claims.

As of Magh 23, insurers have paid Rs 2.5 billion 20 million out of 2,249 claims. The data shows that the companies have paid only 19.57 percent of the total claims. According to the data, the companies still have to pay Rs 9.87 billion 99 million out of 1,530 claims.

An official of the Insurance Authority said that the update was not done because there was no significant difference in insurance claims for flood and landslide damage after Mangsir 23. “There have been no significant additional claims,” the official said, adding that the companies are still paying claims. The payments have increased.’

The official informed that preparations are underway to publish further updates on flood and landslide claims and payments in the coming days.
