Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has made it clear that it will not be able to charge fees from businessmen while recommending the purchase of gold from commercial banks.
Issuing a notice today, the central bank clarified that there is no provision to charge any kind of recommendation fee or fee while making recommendations to the businessmen from commercial banks.
As per the existing provisions, the Working Procedure on Import and Sale of Gold, 2068 BS prohibits charging fees on the recommendation of purchase of gold. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged the associations, federations and entrepreneurs to follow the recommendation.
