Kathmandu. NMB Bank has handed over a 16-bit self-weighing raft, life jackets and other disaster relief materials to the Nepal Police as part of its social responsibility. It was handed over at a programme held at The Kathmandu Valley Police Office at Ranipokhari in Kathmandu today.
Chief Executive Officer of the bank Govinda Ghimire formally handed over the representative of Nepal Police to Additional Inspector General of Police Tek Bahadur Tamang. Materials handed over to the program include life jackets, including rubber boats, and other emergency utilities.
The bank hopes that such assistance will help in the efficiency of the police as the chances of floods, inundation and other water-related disasters and emergency events are high during the monsoon.
