Kathmandu. Nerude Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited Branch Office Phidim, Panchthar has completed a one-day financial literacy and center chief seminar program. The program provided information on the need and importance of financial literacy, credit management, insurance and financial discipline.
The chief guest of the program was Mitra Prasad Kafle, Mayor of Phidim Municipality. Kafle highlighted the importance of savings, credit discipline and proper utilization of credit, and informed about the legal proceedings and problems that may arise if it is misused. In addition, Upendra Lawati, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 4 of Phidim Municipality, presented his views on contemporary economic issues.
The said program was attended by Assistant Inspector of Police Deepak Dhimal of District Police Office Panchthar, Monitoring Officer of Phidim Cluster under Koshi Provincial Office Santosh Tamang, all employees of Branch Office Phidim, and heads, deputy heads and members of various centers and groups, more than 70 people.
In the program, Branch Chief Ramesh Khanal provided detailed information about the services provided by the organization. In addition, the family and relatives of Debibhakta Rai’s wife Ranjana Rai, a resident of Majite, Phidim Municipality-2, Panchthar District, who died in a landslide due to incessant rains in the month of Ashoja, were also given an insurance claim amount of Rs. 1 million 10 thousand for rural credit insurance.
At the end of the program, awards were given to the best centers and best members. The participants expressed their happiness at receiving financial information and expressed their hope that such programs would be organized in the future as well.
