Nepal Telecom’s profit shrinks due to decrease in revenue, what is the EPS?

Kathmandu. Nepal Telecom is in the current fiscal year 2082. It has made public the raw financial for the first quarter of 83 (July-September).

According to the financial report, the company has earned a net profit of Rs 1.32 billion in the first three months of the current FY. Last year, 2081. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1.73 billion as of mid-October 2018. The company’s net profit contracted 23.82 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.

In the review period, the company earned Rs 8.67 billion. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 8.68 billion in the same period last year. The company’s revenue also declined by 0.01 percent.

The company has earned Rs 60.05 crore in financial income and Rs 19.10 crore in other income till mid-September of the current FY. The company posted a net profit of Rs 1.17 billion and other income of Rs 20.63 crore in the same period last year. Both the company’s earnings declined in the review period compared to the previous year.

The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 18 billion with reserve and surplus of Rs 73.03 billion. Last year, the reserves and surplus amounted to Rs 71.71 billion.

During the review period, the company has annualized earnings per share (EPS) of Rs.29.45, PE ratio of 28.72 times and net worth per share of Rs.505.75.
