Kathmandu. The 536th meeting of the Board of Directors of Nepal SBI Limited held on October 28 has unanimously elected Mr. Venkat Bansidhar Kuncha, Director of State Bank of India (SBI), as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank.
Venkat Vansidhar Kuncha, Chairman of SBI, is the Chief General Manager of the International Banking Group at its Mumbai head office. He is responsible for SBI’s international business expansion across 29 countries.
Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Prof. Dr. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, Mr. Venkat Bansidhar Kuncha amidst a ceremony held at the central office of Nepal Rastra Bank, Baluwatar.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). Neelam Dhungana Timsina and Bam Bahadur Mishra, Executive Director Guru Prasad Poudel, Acting Collector Executive Director Rajan Bikram Thapa, Directors Rajendra Bhattarai, Ishwori Prasad Bhattarai and Sharan Kumar Adhikari and Directors of Nepal SBI Bank Ritesh Sinha, Bharat Raj Wasti, Apsara Upreti and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Shrestha were also present on the occasion. Mr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank Mr. Ram Kumar Tiwari, Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Bikash Anand, Chief Financial Officer Mr. Rajesh Kumar Panda and Company Secretary of the Bank Mr. Khageshwor Bhatta.
