Kathmandu. In a significant step forward for Nepal’s remittance sector, Nepal Remitters Association has formally partnered with Malaysian Association of Money Services Business. This new collaboration demonstrates the growing international trust and recognition of Nepali remittance companies in the global financial sector.
After a few rounds of discussions, the two associations have agreed to work together to strengthen the money services business sector, expand cooperation, and promote growth. The partnership will focus on improving industry standards through knowledge sharing, cross-border cooperation, and international best practices.
During the agreement signing ceremony, MAMSB President Dato’ Jazakhan bin Kader Ghani and NRA President Ritesh Mittal deliberated on improving regulatory compliance, promoting innovation, and addressing common challenges such as digital transformation, control of illegal operators, and consumer protection.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ritesh Mittal, President NRA said, “This partnership is a historic milestone for the remittance industry in Nepal. The collaboration with MAMSB will strengthen regional ties, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote innovation. Ultimately, it will benefit Nepali workers in foreign employment and Nepal’s overall economy. ”
