Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank has alerted the general public after incidents of financial fraud started increasing.
The central bank issued a notice today to raise awareness about financial fraud. The National Bank has urged people to think carefully to avoid financial fraud, theft and crime.
If you receive a message saying, “I will send you a mobile phone at a low price,” “You have won the lottery,” “A parcel has arrived,” “The amount will double,” “Buy crypto or forex,” “I will get you a job,” or “Invest,” or if you believe it and give your confidential details and personal documents such as citizenship, as they say, you will not only earn wealth, but also lose what you have, the central bank has stated.
The central bank suggests that it is very important to always be vigilant and make thoughtful decisions if you receive such messages. “Nothing is free and it is important to pay attention to the fact that there is always some kind of trick hidden behind such messages,” the notice said.
