Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has advised all to adopt security precautions to be safe from financial frauds.
Issuing a notice today, the central bank made this recommendation. “Let us adopt safety and vigilance while carrying out financial transactions and be safe from various types of financial frauds,” the notice reads.
According to the NRB, the cases of financial fraud have been reported from unknown people or numbers by sending messages such as WhatsApp, Viber, Message, e-mail, various types of lottery on phone or mobile messages, winning prizes such as expensive mobile, receiving parcels from abroad, finding property or gold, and providing plans to get high returns in a short time. “If this is the case, you should be vigilant,” the notice said. ’
The NRB has warned that people involved in financial fraud and crime may steal personal and financial details by making attractive offers through such messages. “The use of such details may cause you financial loss or loss,” the NRB said, “Therefore, all these incidents are financial frauds.” ’
