Kathmandu. Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) has extended the deadline to get discount on late fee while renewing the insurance policy.
Issuing a notice today, the company informed that the exemption period has been extended. Now, the insured will get 50 percent discount on the late fee if the insurance policy has passed for more than 180 days. Earlier, the company had made arrangements to get this discount facility from March 15 to May 15.
According to the company, if the insurance covered in this scheme is surrendered within one year from the date of renaissance, the entire amount of the late fee exemption facility provided will be deducted. The company has made it clear that the insured who has once taken a discount on late fee will not be exempted again during the entire insurance period.
In order to avail this discount facility, the policy must have spent more than 180 days.
