Nepal beat Scotland by 2 wickets

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal defeated Scotland TAG_CLOSE_span_14 by 2 wickets in TAG_OPEN_span_14 the three-nation Twenty20 series on Tuesday.

Chasing the target of 97 runs, Nepal achieved the target at the loss of eight wickets with one ball to spare. Sandeep Lamichhane scored one run in favor of Nepal.

This is the first time That Nepal has won the match against the Netherlands. This is the second time in a row. Earlier in 2013, Scotland defeated Nepal by eight wickets in the T20 World Cup qualifier held in uae.

After winning the toss, Nepal captain Rohit Poudel won the toss and Scotland were all out for 97 runs in 19.4 overs at the Titwood Cricket Ground in Glasgow. In reply, Nepal played 19.5 overs and easily chased down the target at a loss of 8 wicket}.

For Nepal, Karan KC took two wickets, Sandeep Lamichhane took four wickets and Dipendra Singh Airee, Lokesh Bam and Lalit Rajbanshi took one wicket each.

Michael Lisk top-scored for Scotland with 46 runs. He hit four fours and a six in his 46-ball innings before being bowled by Dipendra in the last over. Dipendra took two wickets for 24 runs in 3.4 overs.

This is the first match between Nepal and Scotland in the Twenty20 International cricket tournament. This is Nepal’s second match in Scotland. Earlier, Nepal had played against the Netherlands.
