Kathmandu. Nepal Bank for the current fiscal year 2081. It has made public the unaudited financial statements up to the third quarter of 2018.
According to the financial statement, the bank has earned a profit of Rs 2.78 billion in the review period. The company had posted a profit of Rs 130 million in the same period last year. In this way, the bank’s profit has increased by 2032.80 percent compared to the previous year.
During the review period, the bank’s net profit stood at Rs 306.2 million. In the same period last year, the bank’s net profit stood at Rs 1.04 billion.
The operating profit of the bank has increased to Rs 4.31 billion. In the previous year, the operating profit was limited to Rs 585.3 million. The operating profit of the bank also increased by 636.84 percent.
In the third quarter of the current fiscal year, the bank has earned rs 7.10 billion in interest income. In the same period last year, the bank had earned Rs 6.77 billion in interest income.
The bank’s reserve size has increased from Rs 14.69 billion to Rs 23.31 billion. In the previous fiscal year, the reserves stood at Rs 21.90 billion.
During the review period, the bank collected deposits of Rs 373.39 billion and invested Rs 216 billion in loans. In the previous fiscal year, the bank collected deposits of Rs 283.8 billion and invested Rs 194.66 billion in loans.
During the review period, the bank’s bad loan ratio (NPL) has increased to 5.55 percent. In the same period last year, the bank’s NPL was 4.85 percent. The bank has set aside Rs 282.8 million as impact charge to manage bad loans.
The bank’s annualised earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 25.26. Last year, the EPS was limited to Rs 1.18. The bank has a net worth of Rs 260.74 per share with a PE ratio of 9.94 times.
