Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Bank Limited (NBL), the first bank in Nepal, has celebrated its 89th anniversary. Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) was established on Kartik 30, 1994 B.S. and has completed 88 years of its 88th year on Kartik 30, 2082 B.S. Dr. Dilliraj Sharma.
The bank has been rendering its services through a network of 231 branches, 237 ATMs and 61 extension counters all over Nepal. Nearly 10 lakh customers have been benefitted by availing digital banking services through digital technology. For the past few years, the bank has been providing its banking services throughout Nepal with focus on fast and quality customer service.
On the occasion, 3 employees who have served for 25 years and 53 employees who have served for 20 years were awarded medals and letter of appreciation. Similarly, the security personnel of Gauradaha branch and New Baneshwor branch were rewarded for their significant role in strengthening the bank’s security even in hostile security situation. On the occasion, 12 branches were also awarded for their outstanding achievement at the provincial and geographical level.
In the end, the meeting Chairman urged the employees of the bank to move ahead in a more robust manner in the days ahead, motivating all to work with high morale and honesty within their respective jurisdictions and assured the bank management of the support of the Board of Directors at all times.
