NEA ready to increase its capacity to provide quality service as expected: Chairman Ojha

Kathmandu. Chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority Sharad Ojha has expressed the belief that insurance companies would move ahead more responsibly with honesty in the coming days for the development and size of the insurance sector. Addressing a greetings exchange programme organized by The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) at its central office, Kupandol, Lalitpur today, Chairman Ojha said that NEA was ready to provide quality service as expected by increasing its capacity.

Advising the insurance companies to come out of the bonus and focus on term insurance, Chairman Ojha said, “There are problems in risk assessment, they should be corrected, while targeting the employees, the target should be given for renewal including issuance of insurance policy, while giving insurance, they should be informed about all the issues including the terms of the insurance policy, training should be increased for the employees and the work done by them should also be publicized.” ”

He directed the insurance companies to move out of the easy zone and go to new areas including houses, connect consumer groups with insurance and increase the market of term insurance so that investment is safe and identify the problems of insurance market and move forward with solutions.

Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority as well as presidents of Nepal Insurance Association, Nepal Non-Life Insurance Association and Micro Insurance Association, CHIEF Executive Officers of Non-Life Insurance Company, Life Insurance Company, Micro Insurance Company and Reinsurance Company, among others, were present on the occasion.
