Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has organized a discussion and interaction program with the chiefs of the branch offices of insurance companies on the current issues related to insurance in Lahan, Siraha on Friday.
On the occasion, Director of Nepal Insurance Authority Kundan Sapkota directed the head of the branch offices of the insurance companies to carry out the insurance business as per the Insurance Act, rules and directives.
Director Sapkota urged NRA to reach out to the villages coordinating with the province office for the development and expansion of insurance sector and to emphasize on the expansion of agriculture and livestock insurance.
The participants of the programme said that insurance companies should lay emphasis on research and development related to insurance, conduct training for employees, put up hoarding boards in border areas to increase insurance awareness, give special importance to the expansion and promotion of agricultural insurance and make arrangements to spend the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budget within the respective provinces.
Chiefs of Siraha district branch offices of Life Insurance Company and Non-Life Insurance Company were present in the program.
