Kathmandu. Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL), a leading payment system operator who has been playing a key role in promoting digital payment system in Nepal, and Digital Payment and Financial Technology Leader Ant International organized a joint program today with the objective of promoting nepal’s tourism sector in the presence of banks, financial institutions and stakeholders in the tourism sector.
Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Kiran Pandit, Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Subhash Chandra Ghimire, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Bankers Association Anil Sharma, President of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents Kumar Mani Thapaliya, Chief Executive Officer of Hotel Association Nepal Tek Bahadur Mahat were present on the occasion. Director of Nepal Tourism Board Santosh Panta, Country Manager of ALEP, Cittipong Kittiprapong, CHIEF Executive Officer of NCHL Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan, and stakeholders from various banks, financial institutions and tourism sector were present on the occasion.
NCHL and Ant International had introduced cross-border payments between NepalPay QR and Ellipe in The month of Kartik last year. Under this cross-border payment, more than 1.2 million merchants in Nepal’s Network of NepalPay QR can be paid through more than 17 international domestic e-wallets and mobile banking apps.
