National Life Insurance contributes Rs 10 million to Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund

. KATHMANDU: National Life Insurance (NLIC) has provided financial support to the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund set up by the Government of Nepal. The government has provided a financial assistance of Rs 10 million to the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund (IRE) for the reconstruction, economic recovery and relief of the damage caused to public infrastructure across the country during the Jenji demonstrations and agitations on September 7 and 24.

The cheque was handed over to Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal by Chief Executive Officer Suresh Prasad Khatri and Deputy General Manager Prajwal Sayami.TAG_OPEN_div_17

The company has provided this amount as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. On the occasion, CEO Khatri said that the Company has been providing financial support in the areas of education, health, natural disaster management and environment conservation in the past.

The company has been allocating one percent of its net profit for each fiscal year and depositing it in the Corporate Social Responsibility Fund as per the directives issued by the regulatory body for this purpose.TAG_OPEN_div_13
