National level development bank’s profit is around Rs 4.55 billion.

Kathmandu. National level development banks have earned a profit of around Rs 4.75 billion till Mid-April of the current fiscal year.

According to the data released by the Nepal Rastra Bank( NRB), eight national-level development banks have earned a total profit of Rs 3.69 billion till March 31. The total profit of these development banks was Rs 3.53 billion in the same period last year. The bank’s profit has increased by 4.35 percent compared to the previous year.

Development Bank has the highest profit till the review period. The bank has earned a profit of Rs 733.4 million till Mid-March. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 683.4 million in the same period last year. The bank’s profit increased by 7.32 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.

Muktinath has earned a profit of Rs 724.8 million till Mid-April of the current fiscal year. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 871.8 million in the same period last year. The bank’s profit has decreased by 16.68 percent compared to the previous year.

Shine Resunga is at the third position in terms of profit. The bank had posted a profit of Rs 514 million in the review period as compared to Rs 514.6 million in the previous fiscal year. The bank’s profit has decreased by 0.13 percent compared to the previous year.

Similarly, Kamana Sewa has earned a profit of Rs 493.1 million, Mahalaxmi Rs 436.5 million, Shangri-La Rs 434.2 million, Jyoti Rs 306.6 million and Lumbini Rs 49.7 million. Compared to the previous year, the profit of Kamna Service increased by 48.83 percent, Mahalaxmi by 16.87 percent, Shangri-La by 61.19 percent and Jyoti by 101.14 percent and Lumbini by 85.45 percent.
