Kathmandu. National-level development banks have earned a profit of Rs 4.18 billion more than the previous fiscal year till Falgun.
According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, 8 national-level development banks have managed to earn a total profit of Rs 4.18 billion 70 million till Falgun. The total profit of these development banks till the same period last year was Rs 3.37 billion 63 million. The profit of the banks has increased by 24.01 percent compared to the previous year.
Garima is the development bank that has earned the highest profit till the review period. This bank has earned a profit of Rs 834.8 million till Falgun. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 652.2 million till the same period last year. The bank’s profit has increased by 28 percent during the review period compared to the previous year.
Muktinath is in second place, earning a profit of Rs 787.8 million till Falgun of the current fiscal year. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 659.9 million till the same period last year. The bank’s profit has increased by 19.37 percent compared to the previous year.
Shine Resunga is in third place in terms of profit. This bank, which earned a profit of Rs 522.7 million till Falgun last year, has earned a profit of Rs 564.8 million till the review period. The bank’s profit has increased by 8.08 percent compared to the previous year.
Similarly, Kamana Sewa has earned a profit of Rs 500 million 11 million, Mahalaxmi Rs 420 million 15 million, Shangrila Rs 400 million 66 million, Jyoti Rs 360 million and Lumbini Rs 310 million. Compared to the previous year, Kamana Sewa’s profit has increased by 31.34 percent, Mahalaxmi’s by 3.46 percent, Shangrila’s by 89.16 percent, Jyoti’s by 39.75 percent and Lumbini’s by 10.88 percent during the review period.
