Kathmandu. National-level development banks have earned a profit of Rs 3.25 billion more than the previous fiscal year’s Magh.
According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, 8 national-level development banks have managed to earn a total profit of Rs 3.30 billion 7.4 million by Magh. The total profit of these development banks by the same period last year was Rs 2.71 billion 7.9 million. The profit of the banks has increased by 21.69 percent compared to the previous year.
Garima is the development bank that has earned the highest profit by the review period. This bank has earned a profit of Rs 683.2 million by Magh. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 558 million by the same period last year. The bank’s profit has increased by 22.43 percent during the review period compared to the previous year.
Muktinath is in second place, earning a profit of Rs 629.5 million till Magh of the current fiscal year. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 532.3 million till the same period last year. The bank’s profit has increased by 18.25 percent compared to the previous year.
Shine Resunga is in third place in terms of profit. This bank, which earned a profit of Rs 437.1 million till Magh last year, has earned a profit of Rs 446.6 million till the review period. The bank’s profit has increased by 2.17 percent compared to the previous year.
Similarly, Kamana Sewa has earned a profit of Rs 414.6 million, Mahalaxmi Rs 335.3 million, Jyoti Rs 305.1 million, Shangrila Rs 262.1 million and Lumbini Rs 237.0 million till Magh. Compared to the previous year, Kamana Sewa’s profit has increased by 32.76 percent, Mahalaxmi’s by 0.38 percent, Jyoti’s by 71.76 percent, Shangrila’s by 69.21 percent and Lumbini’s by 9.20 percent during the review period.
