Kathmandu. National-level development banks have earned a profit of rs 5.25 billion in the 11 months of the current fiscal year.
According to the data released by the Rastra Bank, eight national-level development banks have earned a total profit of Rs 5.22 billion till May 2018. In the same period last year, the total profit of these development banks was Rs 4.83 billion. The bank’s profit has increased by 8.19 percent compared to the previous year.
Muktinath bank has the highest profit till the review period. The bank has earned a profit of Rs 1.05 billion till May 2018. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1.16 billion in the same period last year. The bank’s profit declined by 10.07 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
Garima is in the second position with a profit of Rs 1.01 billion till May of the current fiscal year. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 857.4 million in the same period last year. The bank’s profit has increased by 18.85 percent compared to the previous year.
Shine Resunga is at the third position in terms of profit. The bank had posted a profit of Rs 738.8 million in the review period as compared to Rs 677.9 million in the previous fiscal year. The bank’s profit has increased by 8.98 percent compared to the previous year.
Similarly, Kamana Sewa has earned a profit of Rs 669.3 million, Shangri-La Rs 562.9 million, Mahalaxmi Rs 534.4 million, Jyoti Rs 436.4 million and Lumbini Rs 217.3 million. Compared to the previous year, the profit of Kamana Service decreased by 36.82 percent, Shangri-La by 59.22 percent and Mahalaxmi by 3.66 percent in the review period.
On the other hand, Jyoti’s has increased by 40.96 percent while Lumbini’s has decreased by 48.30 percent.
