Kathmandu. A delegation led by NADA President Karan Chaudhary met with Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal and discussed the current situation of the country. During the meeting, Chairman Chaudhary said that the security of the general entrepreneurs and peace and peace of the country were the most important issues of the government.
Stating that the country’s economy is deteriorating, he said that the government should bring policies that boost the morale of entrepreneurs. During the discussions, Chairman Chaudhary said that the investors are not in a position to invest in Nepal, there should be insurance disbursement for the loss and damage caused by vandalism, the implementation of Nepal Vehicle Pollution Standard 2082 will increase the price of vehicles. During the discussion, Chairman Chaudhary said that NADA wants to move ahead in collaboration with the government.
During the meeting, Chairman Chaudhary also presented a 22-point suggestion on behalf of NADA, urging the government to improve the policies needed to make Nepal’s automobile business dynamic. In the discussion, he also suggested that the limit of 60 percent in Hire Purchase Loan should be increased to 805 in the process of providing loan to value ratio from banks, especially to vehicles running on petrol and diesel.
Finance Secretary Ghanashyam Upadhyay assured the operation of vehicles soon as possible as vehicles could not enter Nepal through Tatopani Customs Office due to road disruption and also announced an incentive package for them. Likewise, discussions would be held with the Ministry of Forest and Environment regarding the effects of the implementation of the Nepal Vehicle Pollution Standard-2082.
At the end of the discussion, Honorable Finance Minister Khanal said that appropriate steps would be taken after collecting the data of loss and damage caused by the agitation by considering the suggestions put forth by the entrepreneurs. On the occasion, Minister Khanal said that facilities that can be provided by banks and finance will be provided and the government will take necessary steps to provide facilities in tax. During the discussion, Minister Khanal said that he would be in direct contact with the automobile entrepreneurs saying the agitation has caused huge losses in the automobile sector.
The meeting was attended by NADA Vice President Nirakar Shrestha, Secretary Bikram Singhaniya, Treasurer Milan Babu Malla, Co-Treasurer Pankaj Agrawal, Central Working Committee members Akash Golchha, Prakash Kapuri, Meghraj Poudel, Yamuna Shrestha and Abhik Jyoti.
