Kathmandu. The third edition of Fashionfare Awards 2024 has concluded as a major platform to honor excellence in the field of fashion, glamour, pageantry and art. This edition honoured personalities who have made special contributions in various fields.
Subarna Chhetri, who has been contributing to the pageantry leadership, was given the Eminent National Director Award, while Anila Shrestha was given the Empowering Woman of the Year award for her work in the pageantry and social sector. Renowned poet and novelist Usha Sherchan was given the Voice of Empowerment Award (Literature and Identity) in recognition of her literary contributions focused on gender, identity and social justice. In addition, The Malla Hotel was awarded excellence in hospitality award in recognition of its continued contribution to quality hospitality services.
Palesha Govardhan, Nepal’s Paralympic medallist, has been awarded the Excellence in Para Taekwondo Award (Pride of Nepal) for her contribution to the field of sports and her achievements in making Nepal proud at the international level.
Pradeep Raj Banta, senior photojournalist of Rastriya Samachar Samiti and chairman of National Photo Journalists Forum, has been awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award (Photo Journalism).
Rachna Gurung Sharma, who has been contributing to the field of pageantry and grooming for decades, was given the Lifetime Achievement Award (Grooming and Styling).
Sneh Rana, who has made a long contribution to the field of beauty and fashion, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award (Makeup). Nepal’s renowned designer Shivangi Pradhan was awarded the Lifetime Contribution to Nepali Fashion Award in recognition of his contribution to building the modern identity of Nepali fashion.
Eva Giri, who is active in the digital fashion sector, was awarded the Fashion Content Creator Award while famous model and artist Anup Bikram Shahi was named fashion icon of the year.
Spreading the message of inclusivity, Parakram Rana was awarded the LGBTQIA+ Changemaker Award for fearless voice and pioneering role in LGBTQIA+ rights. The Global Event Excellence Award was presented at the Miss Nepal North America Organization-USA International Pageant for its commitment to excellence. Nepal’s first transgender finalist Angel Lama was awarded the Trailblazer in Inclusive Pageantry and Advocacy Award.
The Global Sustainable Fashion Leadership Award was presented to Sanyukta Shrestha from the UNITED Kingdom as an important highlight of the event. As a leading figure in moral luxury and sustainability, Sanyukta has redefined bridal wear through design practices that prioritize environmentally friendly content and social empowerment, setting world-class standards of sustainable fashion.
Arnav Ban was awarded the Young Music Star Award for his talent and inspirational journey in the contemporary music field. Hakim Gurung was awarded the Pioneer of Naphop Movement Award for his musical contribution to the leadership of the Naphop movement in Nepal and the identity of the youth. Similarly, Deepmala KD, who has been able to make Nepal’s name known through hosting internationally, was given the Rising International Talent Award (Emsing and Hosting).
Organized by Dream Search Agency, the event was organized by Epicenter Education Consultants. Also, Aventos, Spark Advertising, Manakamana Aching, The Malla Hotel (Hospitality Partner), and Mane Muse by Shivangi (Makeup Partner) supported the event.
This prestigious award ceremony was held at The Malla Hotel, Lainchaur, Kathmandu on August 31, 2025. The program was hosted by Rojin Shakya, Eri Tuladhar and Dipmala KD.
In addition to the prestigious honors, competitive excellence was also given special priority by this edition. Nima Dolma was awarded emerging fashion model of the year, Sumi Baniya the emerging fashion choreographer of the year, Rajan Shah the emerging fashion designer of the year (male) and Shila Rai the emerging fashion designer of the year (female).
Similarly, Sanskriti Bhatta was honoured with Emerging Pageant Star of the Year, Bikash Parajuli with Fashion Photographer of the Year, Kashish Subba with Fashion Model of the Year, Sonam Subba Limbu with Fashion Designer of the Year and Bieva Basnet with Emerging Mrs Pageant Star of the Year award.
Fashionfare Awards 2024 was not just award distribution, it was a celebration of talent, dedication, achievement and compassion. It has given a new inspiration to the future generations by honoring the personalities who have been continuously contributing in their field. The presence of eminent personalities from diverse professional fields made this evening of cultural creativity even more grand.
