Kathmandu. Deposits in the banking system have increased by Rs 8 billion in a single day. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), deposits stood at Rs 7.59 trillion as of Thursday, up from Rs 7.49 trillion on Wednesday.
Similarly, credit disbursement reached Rs 5.639 trillion as of Wednesday, up from Rs 5.639 trillion on Thursday. Credit flow has increased by Rs 1 billion in a single day.
As of Thursday, deposits of commercial banks have reached Rs 6.748 trillion while loans from commercial banks have reached Rs 50.16 trillion.
The CD ratio has come down to 74.29 percent and the inter-bank interest rate is 2.75 percent. The CD ratio was 74.35 percent the previous day.
