Kathmandu. Minister for Drinking Water Pradeep Yadav has said that the Ministry of Drinking Water has achieved the best results among the development ministries by making remarkable progress in the field of drinking water, sanitation and drainage.
Addressing the inaugural programme of the Annual Progress Review Seminar of the Department of Drinking Water and Sewerage Management for the fiscal year 2081/82 BS on Tuesday, Minister Yadav said that the ministry has presented exemplary results by doing satisfactory work despite challenging circumstances.
He said, “Facing many challenges including last year’s natural disasters, resource constraints and technical complexity, the department including the ministry has been able to achieve remarkable progress in the water supply and sanitation sector across the country.” It is a matter of great happiness for us. ’
Minister Yadav said that the ministry and the department have been able to achieve positive achievements in the field of drinking water and sanitation across the country despite last year’s natural disasters, limitations of resources and budget and technical complications.
“The Ministry of Drinking Water has now been established as one of the best development ministries and has proved to be a sensitive and service provider ministry directly connected with the basic needs of the people,” he said. ’
Stating that the role played by the Department of Drinking Water and Sewerage Management in this direction was commendable, Minister Yadav said that the progress achieved in the last fiscal year had contributed significantly towards achieving our national goal of ‘Clean Nepal, Healthy Nepali’.
